Naughty Kitty Christmas card

Today I am sharing a fun Naughty Kittwn Christmas card that was made with Newtons Nook supplies. Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad and the adorable stamp set Kitten Christmas made this cute card come together very quickly.

I think that the little kitten with the lights is so cute. And the one playing with the ornament- well I have definitely seen my own cats do that. We often even tied our tree to anchor it so that it didn’t come crashing down while the cats would play in it.

Aren’t those papers so great?! The tiny little gifts on the left side of the ribbon were cut out of the page of presents.

Merriest Christmas Layout

I had some time today to enjoy some crafting me time. After inking up page after page of the amazing Pink Fresh Poinsettia stamp stencil washi tape set I knew they were perfect for a cute layout.

Yes this layout is one that should have been created a few years ago. Those lovely little ladies will soon be getting their learners license but it sure was fun seeing them as littles once again.

The ink stenciling was so much fun. I used a combination of Pink Fresh inks and Distress Inks to get the dark combo and I was very happy with how it turned out. I added a few extra leaf branches from an older Pink Fresh set called Christmas Florals.
I also added some paper and cut outs from the Oh What Fun Paper pack and the Holiday sentiments which I heat embossed and cut with the coordinating die. When I was happy with it and had it adhered down I splattered some gold metallic water color.

So that was my fun for the day. I can’t believe that another Christmas will soon be here. I guess I will have more photos to turn into fun layouts.

Merry Christmas Stamped All Around Card

I enjoyed some fun crafting time today and decided to spend it making some Christmas cards.

I started this card off by stamping the spruce greenery all around the edge of the card. Staying with the traditional red green and gold once again I heat embossed both the sentiment and the poinsettia floral in gold.
Today’s card was simple leaving white space. I really like how it turned out.

Noel Christmas Card

I am sure that there are lots of people who are almost finished creating their handmade Christmas cards - I am not one of those people. In fact I have probably only got half a dozen of them done so far. So when I saw the challenge on The Flower Challenge blog I figured that a Christmas card was a great way to go.

First I used a Rare Earth pine branch to create my background around the top. Then I used the small floral Christmas flowers that I heat embossed in gold and coloured in with ink. I created the candle in the same way. The sentiment is gold heat embossed. The shape element on my card is the scalloped rectangle cut from the metallic red paper.

I really do like creating with the traditional Christmas color pallet of red green and gold.

You Are Loved

I have been so busy at work lately that I haven’t taken the time when I get home to do any blogging of my card or layout creations all I do is create. So I guess tonight I am trying to get caught up on documentation of my creativity.
My last card is another card with lots of layered stencils being used.

Both the background and the floral daisy wreath were components that I created this summer at the cabin. I took my PinkFresh inks and stencils with some paper and brushes and it was a fun and relaxing way to relax after a long day at the beach - oh take me back to those wonderful and warm days!!

Dimension and gems were used for those finishing touches.

- the shape I incorporated was that lovely heart.

I am so happy with how this card turned out - I see more of these similar in design in my future craft adventures. I definitely can’t get enough of the amazing Pink Fresh Studio stencils.

Merry Christmas Ornaments

I am sure that this will be a first of many Christmas cards that I create for this holiday season. My goal this year is to make Christmas cards for our town’s Nursing Home. Our family was very blessed by the facility and all its many amazing staff while our grandmother was a resident there for 12 years - until her passing at 105 years old!
This Christmas stencil and die set will be well used in my Christmas card making I am sure.

I used the chevron die for the background of this card. And of course - don’t forget the foam tape for dimension. And no card is quite finished without a touch of bling - gems to the rescue!

Peace & Joy Simple Christmas card

Having fun playing with my new tree layered stencils saw me create a simple (but lovely) Christmas card.

I also love these amazing sentiments. 1 piece stamp and die that create multiple sentiments is such a game changer. I like this glitter red for this sentiment.

Fall Thinking of You Card

Continuing to use my beautiful floral embellishments that I created with my florals from my Be Strong floral stencil / stamp / die set.

Lots of yellows, purples, and gold to remind me of the gorgeous colors of fall.

I used the background diamond stencil to give a light hint of depth to my yellow background. Then I placed the ink stencilled  florals both behind and in front of the scalloped circle die cut. I think that the gold heat embossed sentiment looks so good. And the best thing about that sentiment is that in one quick pass I can make multiple different sentiments as they are all one stamp and die set - genius as a huge time saver!!

Thinking of You Striped Floral Card

Have I mentioned how much I love (all) the Pink Fresh Studio floral layered stencils? Yes? Well let me say it again!! I Love them!! Oh and I also hooked my mom on them when we were crafting together this summer. I really enjoyed playing with all my ink colors and all my stencils just creating panel after panel that I then die cut to use as embellishments for future cards and scrapbook layouts. I have lots of baggies of beautiful florals.
So of course I started with those gorgeous florals to create this card. It was so much fun!

These florals are from the Be Strong stencil / stamp /die set. I love how you can use any or all items together. I love purple flowers so I started with that and built the card from there.
I enjoyed using for the first time my new background die (definitely an essential die)! Whenever I use blues and purples I tend to gravitate towards using silver and this time was no different with the lovely sentiment. Add a few beautiful jewels and there you have it.

I had so much fun on this card. I will be entering this in the following challenges.

You’re The Sweetest Fall Card

Here is a simple card that I made in the fall color  tones of yellow, orange, burgundy and purples. I chose to use grey tones for the leaves this time.

I used one of my favourite floral stencils the Pink Fresh Studio Be Strong stencil and die set. The sentiment is also from Pink Fresh Studio as a stamp and die set. One day I will invest in a hot foil machine and then I will need to coordinating hot foil plate. But until then I stamp and sometimes emboss the sentiments.

I also used an essential die scalloped circle die (yup also from Pink Fresh Studio).

Seriously- if you haven’t checked out Pink Fresh Studio yet - what are you waiting for?! Their floral stencils are so awesome!! I absolutely love inking up those gorgeous stencils.

Today Layout

Treasure These Memories Today is the layout I created to remember my son getting his learners license and how thrilled he was to share his special achievement with his Great Grandmother.

I wanted to use the Garden Wreath Die to embellish the simple block letters for the Title TODAY. I love how the green and mauve leaves work on the letters.
The title is also set off by the mixed media created with the PinkFresh yellow liquid water color.

I used papers from the Happy Blooms collection. I also cut apart some for those green blue and yellow simple banner title strips that all fit my feelings of the day.

Hi with lovely leaves card

It’s a good thing that I had made time at the start of the month to create a card for the Pinkfresh September challenge because I have definitely been too busy lately to make anything. I am finally now getting around to posting my Hi card. This challenge is all about greenery.

I enjoyed making every part of this card. The PinkFresh background chevron stamp was fun using the teal inks. I also used my new essential ornate banner die, the lovely Heathers alpha die and the amazing garden wreath die set.

Easter Layout

This is an Easter layout that I created with my newest paper collection Happy Blooms from Pink Fresh Studio.

I did a simple mixed media background using the amazing liquid water colors from Pinkfresh. I don’t know what I will do when I run out seeing as they are now discontinued - they are my favourite and coordinate perfectly.

I am such a fan of the amazing Pink Fresh stencils! I love making my own ephemera die cuts to match my Color scheme. I use my Pink Fresh Studio inks or my Distress Inks to blend the perfect creation.
For this layout I used my Be Strong stencil and die to create those lovely purple flowers. And then also used my newest stencil, Just A Hello Floral, to create the florals down the right side of the photo.

I love how both of these stencil sets can be used alone or with their matching stamp. I chose to use them on their own this time.

I am super excited to see what loveliness is in store from Pink Fresh Studio for their holiday release next week September 6th. I am definitely hoping for more stencils! I took my stencils and ink to the cabin and prepped a bunch of gorgeous florals for future use.

Hi Stripe Card

I really love creating with these beautiful Pink Fresh Studio Washi Tape. The beautiful anemone florals are gorgeous on their own but then pair them with the amazing gold foiling around the flowers that’s on it and they are over the top!

I added some green leaf dies behind it. Of course the florals are popped up on washi tape for beauty is always in dimension.

I used my favourite alphabet dies - Heather lowercase I love that they have the outer and inner pieces. I also love how they mix and match perfectly with the Lea’s Ornate alphabet dies.

All these beautiful Pink Fresh Studio items are backed on a paper pieced diagonal striped background that I created in colors to coordinate with those beautiful floral colors.

I will be entering this in the following challenge.

Smile Diagonal Stripe Card

Here is a card I created this month for the Pink Fresh Studio August Challenge. The challenge this month is all about stripes. I created my own diagonal striped background to show case the amazing and gorgeous washi tape! I love the gold beauty in the anemone washi tape.

I also had a chance to use my brand new rectangle essential die. And can I just say - now I know why they call them essential! They are so essential to have in my card making items. I will definitely be getting more of the essential die collection in the future.

I love to use my favourite word die - smile. It works for so many occasions.

See the Pink Fresh Studio challenge for so many great submissions.

Kiri’s Kreation 2

Here is a second card created by 11 year old Kiri. She has fallen in love with Lawn Fawn (taking after her mother perhaps) and of course she loves all things cats! So when she asked to be able to choose a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for her birthday she quickly decided on the adorable kitties from Honeybee Stamps. Kiri has also gotten very good at both ink blending (cloudy sky backgrounds are her favourites) and colouring using COPIC markers. I really do love sharing all my craft supplies with my talented daughter. It is so much fun sharing our crafty passion with each other.

Well done Kiri - I know you had fun creating. I can’t wait to see the next thing you design. Soon we will set up your own blog if you keep enjoying this!

Kiri’s Kreation 1

Today I am sharing a sweet little card that my 11 year old daughter designed and created. I guess you never are to old to start crafting and enjoying it.
While I was outside doing yard work Kiri got her creative juices flowing creating a birthday card using her own stamp set that she just received that she ordered with her Birthday money.

Kiri asked me to post this so that she could enter it in the Simon says kids challenge. What a perfect challenge for kids - what kid doesn’t like shine and sparkle? For Kiri she used her sparkling silver washi tape.

I am sure we will more from Kiri - she is now asking me if she can have her own crafty blog - who knows - maybe I have created a monster 😂!
Enjoy Kiri - you will love this crafty past time. I love seeing your sense of Color and design.

Birthday Wishes Pink Fresh Style

Just when I thought that I couldn’t love anything as much as the Pink Fresh Studio amazing stencils I got my very first Pink Fresh Studio Washi Tape - and I am completely wowed!!
Seriously- if you haven’t tried their washi tape - what are you waiting for?! I already know which one I am getting next. I absolutely love the one I got. I was enamoured with the blue mauve and gorgeous gold so my first washi tape purchase had to be the Anemone Magic.
Here is a look at my card.

I used the largest floral from the Washi Tape as the focal point which I popped up on foam tape and placed it on a piece of Pink Fresh Paper. The little leaf sprigs behind it are also from Pink Fresh as is the sentiment Birthday Wishes - it came from an older large set - Spring Florals. And I added a little butterfly sticker to the top.

Look at that gorgeous gold.

Thinking of You with Butterflies

I had some play time with my Pink Fresh Studio stencils with matching die and stamps. What better place to do some inking than at the lake cabin. This floral comes from the lovely Be Strong set.

The  Butterfly die cuts in the corners come from the free gift from the magazine Die-Cutting Essentials (issue 76).
The green sprigs are also a little die from Pink Fresh Studio.

Hello Embossed Butterfly Card

This was a quick card that I created using the PinkFresh Layered Sunburst Stencil set to emboss the background paper.  On top of that I used the Pinkfresh leafy branch as well as some little butterflies and the hello die cut from my stash.
I was happy with how this turned out for a quick card.
