Thank you card

I have a thank you card to share today. I created this simple design out of a bunch of paper scraps.  I punched the squares from a 7/8 inch square punch, then I die cut the flowers and leaves from a My Favorite Things flower die set.

ATC 2

Here is another ATC that I created using the alcohol inks. I think I am becoming addicted to playing with those inks and blending solution. I like adding a little copic coloured stamped and die cut image. So much fun. Next day I will be playing with different colors of inks. But I really love the blues and can definitely see how this could be used for water backgrounds.

ATC 1

Ok, so this is my first time making an ATC. I decided to play with Alcohol Inks in order to create ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). I want to play with Alcohol inks using Yupo paper - but until I know more I am using them on glossy photo paper. My first card used 2 colors of ink plus a silver ink. Then I added a hello sentiment and a little girl from Mama Elephant stamps. I am happy with my first ever ATC.  I really enjoyed playing with the alcohol inks and the blending solution. Stay tuned - I will definitely be making more of these.

Thank you card

I continue to build my stash of on hand thank you cards with this simple design. I simply white heat embossed a sentiment strip with thank you. I placed that wide strip across a white paper which I had embossed with those cute circles. I backed the whole thing onto a purple base card. Quick, clean, and simple.

Clean and simple

I decided to make some thank you cards to have on hand. And with only a little bit of time available I went with a very quick and simple design.
Using a new Hampton Arts Stamp I stamped the rose using 3 varying shades of pink ink. Then I but a simple strip of sparkle black tape down. I finished it with a simple thanks.

Kids Play 1

I am sharing a cute little card made by my 9 year old daughter. She wants to enter her card in the Simon Says Stamp Kids summer challenge and what little girl wouldn’t when the theme is sparkles! This girl loves pink and she loves sparkly glittery things even more! She has spent the summer at the beach with her Grandma taking beach walks looking for sea glass - and that was her inspiration for this card. Can you see all the sea glass on her beach?

Thank you Simon Says Stamp for this great opportunity to share one of my passions with my daughter.
She will be entering this is the following challenge:

Birthday Gift Card Holder

I have a cute little gift card holder card to share. I used up some paper scraps ( don’t worry I still have plenty more 😉) for this card. Then I used My Favorite Things dies from the happy die set and then also from the Mason Jar die set I used the cute tag and hearts. The 2 sentiment stamps came from Cardztv stamps Mixed Messages.

This is the front of the card all closed up.

I added the little iTunes card - that is one gift card my kids always enjoy getting.
I don’t have a picture of the back of the card but I finished it off with the same orange dot paper as on the front.
I really love those 3 sizes of “happy” dies from MFT. Those dies come in handy more times than I can count.

Cupcake Birthday Card

I have a cute little cupcake birthday card to share today. I stamped the Jaded Blossom cupcake stamp and coloured it with my water color pencils.  Then I added the stamp saying from the same cupcake stamp set to a Jaded Blossom Tiny Tag. I do love those Tiny Tags! I use them all the time.

Interactive Lawn Fawn Shaker Card

I have a new interactive shaker card to share today. I used the inside out star die, and the cute little astronaut and planets from the stamp and die set. I filled the inside with some gold and silver sprinkles.

Birdie Blue Thank you card

Today I have a blue thank you card to share. I used a stamped die cut image from the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy set that I coloured with Copic Markers. I also used the Tim Holtz stencil with embossing paste coloured using distress ink.   I followed the sketch from the MFT sketch challenge for this card.

MFT Camp Create Day 5

Well I can’t believe it but Day 5 and the end of the week of camp is here. Today is Awesome Ombré at Camp Create.

In case you missed this wonderful week here is an image to catch you up.

This card was made using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon. I really like the way it made the beautiful ombré effect.

Well this has been a wonderful week of camp and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! What a fun way to spend a week of my holidays. If you haven’t come to camp before I highly recommend you join in the fun!

A big shout out the MFT - well done and thanks for the wonderful camp experience.

MFT Camp Create Day 4

On to Day 4 of the My Favorite Things Camp Create which is Monochromatic Magic.

I decided to utilize this day of camp to create a more masculine card. Often my cards are very cute or flowery, so this was a great day to increase my card stash for the guys in the family.
I used the wonderful Tool Time die set from My Favorite Things And went with the grey color tones.

Thanks and check back later to see what I create for the last day of camp!

MFT Camp Create Day 3

Day 3 at My Favorite Things Camp Create is Background Bonanza. I really enjoy using the cloud die and stencil to create a fluffy cloud background with some lovely stamps.
This card was created for a little girl who would enjoy a unicorn and rainbow birthday card. Simple so that those fluffy clouds really pop.

Of course unicorns need lots of sparkle.

And with that Day 3 of Camp is over. Wow this really is like kids summer camp - it is going by way to fast!

I can’t wait to see what day 4 brings. But until tomorrow here is my Day 3 badge.

MFT Camp Create Day 2

And now on to Day 2 of the My Favorite Things Camp Create. Day 2 is Magnificent Masking. There are so many different ways to use this technique. Today I used it with a background stamp. This card evolved as I worked and stamped. I think I like how it turned out - but it was different that what I had in my minds eye when I started out. But that is just fine.
I really like that background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. It definitely lends itself to water or landscape background looks.

I will be entering this in Day 2 of the Camp at https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/news/camp-create-august-13-2019

And with that I have earned my second camp badge. Yay!

MFT Camp Create Day 1

It’s back! And I am definitely attending!

I am super excited for Camp Create to be back for the second week this summer. Day 1 is Inlaid Made Easy. This was so much fun to try. Mine wasn’t near as complex as the demonstration video but it was a great start for me. I enjoyed using my MFT Happy word die and my music die.  A great thank you card for a music teacher perhaps?

I really enjoyed playing with the inlaid technique. That’s what I love about this camp - pushes me to try new things.

Here is my badge for Day 1.

Keep On Keepin’ On

I had some fun being inspired by the My Favorite Things sketch and color challenges for this week. I really liked this color combination.

I thought this cute little birdie stamp from Mama Elephant went really well with this saying from Cardz TV stamps.

Hello There

Well, I hate to admit it, but I can feel the last days of summer in the air already. And with that means school will soon be back in session and I likely won’t have as much time to play. But until that time comes I have enjoyed playing along with the challenges at My Favorite Things blog.

This little card follows both the color and sketch challenges for this week.

I found a cute little stamp in my stash, cut the shape out with my Cricut, and found the papers to match the color challenge. I used pencil crayons to color those little birds and flowers.
