Pinkfresh Purple and Green Peace on Earth Card

Seeing as I am still sending out my Christmas and New Years cards (likely done in the next 2 weeks) I am still creating new ones. And I think that perhaps if I am being honest I put off creating them this year as I was awaiting my latest purchase from Pinkfresh which included the amazing Nested Chevron stamp and die. If you own those pieces and haven’t watched their YouTube videos using them you absolutely have to watch them - so so good! And if you don’t own the stamp and die let me tell you - you will definitely want them after watching those video how to’s!
Anyways on to my card using the Nested Chevron stamp, Christmas floral stamps and also the leafy branch which I cut in gold. I was very happy with how the card turned out.

Pinkfresh Christmas Card Love the Gold

I had fun creating this Christmas card using my Christmas floral stamps by Pinkfresh Studio. I enjoyed colouring them with their amazing liquid watercolours. For this card I chose to stay with the more traditional colours of red green and gold. I had so much fun creating the background with the newest die to my craft stash. I know I will be using that background die and stamp a lot more.

Pinkfresh Christmas Card - Pink

Here is a fun Christmas card I made. I wanted to do something a bit different and so I used a lot of pink and purple tones for this one.
The Background paper as well as the stamp set and leaf die in gold are all Pinkfresh items. The leaf die and paper were all from my latest purchase.

I used those amazing liquid watercolours to do all the colouring of this Christmas stamp set.

Love Layout Take 2

Ok, so here is my second take on a similar layout with a similar picture. Hopefully by scrapbooking this way my 3 kids will soon have their own memory albums of them with their amazing Gram. Who knows - maybe after I am done their books I will decide to do a similar book for myself.  Well, maybe I’m getting a bit ahead of myself. I’m sure I have at least 5 or more unfinished albums to finish up before I start another one.

Making 2 pages at the same time using similar plans but with different colors and placement was actually lots of fun. I quite like the dark color  on this page. Pinkfresh cut files for the win once again. And the heart paper is from their Let’s Stay Home Collection.

I am quite happy with how this turned out.

Love Layout Take 1

Ok so I am behind in my scrapbooks - insert shocked gasp here. Yes, as a working mom of 3 amazing kids I have somehow fallen behind on my scrapbook layouts. And so here I am with more time on my hands, what with Covid keeping us at home more, and I am working on books for my kids. Years back I decided to create a memory scrapbook for each of my kids with all the special photos of them and their amazing and special Great Grandmother (Gram). Sadly she passed away this fall at the young age of 105! And so my album for each child has now become 2 8x8 albums for each kid. With 3 children I often scrap a similar photo for each child’s album. So here is my new plan in the hopes to scrapbook more efficiently. I am going to follow and take part in challenges to keep my creative juices flowing. I am also going to design all 3 pages using similar ideas but with just different colors or placement. I hope this helps me to finish some albums up in the near future. We will see how it all goes. So here is the first of my new plan.

This layout uses the adorable heart paper from Pinkfresh Let’s Stay Home Collection. The chain of hearts and the word Love are cut files from Pinkfresh.
Those cut files are so much fun on the page.

Love Family Layout

I am so excited with all the scrapbook layouts that I have been able to get done lately. I am making it a personal challenge to play along with Pinkfresh for all of their different challenges as a way to get new ideas for how to create my pages. Such fun!
This layout had me using their beautiful liquid water colors as well as their lovely cut file.

I also added some ephemera from the let’s stay home collection. I’m quite happy with the outcome. I have to say - backing the cut file was time consuming but very relaxing and enjoyable. I am thrilled with the outcome.

Smile Slimline card Take 2

Here is the second slimline card I made similar to the first but with a different Color scheme and slightly different placement.

I love seeing the slight differences in these two lovely cards. Isn’t it great seeing what different colors do your project? Fun.

Here the 2 cards are side by side.

If you have ever joined in the live card makes from Pinkfresh Studio they often do things like this - using different colors but overall main idea stays the same. I enjoy that part of the lives so much.

Smile slimline card Take 1

Are you ever in the middle of your creation when you suddenly find 2 different color schemes or 2 different placements and you suddenly can’t decide which one you would like best? That has been happening to me a lot lately. So I decided to embrace it and use it to my creative benefit. So here is the first of 2 posts to show just that.

Using Pinkfresh Studios as my inspiration I created this smile slimline card.

But sure enough as I was testing out colors and placement of the florals I struggled to choose. So I chose to make a second card similar but with some differences. I can’t choose one over the other. I like them both.

Pink Fresh Cousins layout

I started with a cut file in mind and it all grew from that. The lovely tri-cut file worked perfectly with these photos of the 3 cousins all born within 3 weeks of each other. I will have to update the photos of these 3 now teenagers. I enjoyed doing paper piecing to back all the leaves of this amazing cut file. I found the mustard yellow and brown paper from my stash and it all just took shape. I used the sketch from the PinkFresh Studio Fan page from the month of October to spark some creative juices flowing.

I am very happy with the layout and I will definitely be using thing this cut file again in future layouts. The best thing about digital cut files is how I can manipulate the sizing to fit my page and photos.

You are Amazing Card

I like to make tags but find I don’t tend to use them as tags (unless it’s Christmas) so instead I usually use them in my card making. This is one such card that started out as a tag.
I used my lovely PinkFresh Spring Floral stamps for the floral bunch and then the small sentiment comes from the Just Because stamp set.

I used a mix of both PinkFresh liquid water colors and stamps to Color up the tag. Some ribbon and a little bling and that was that!

I was happy with how it all came together.

Remembering Sending The Invitations

A great photo taken while we were getting the invitations ready to mail for Grams 100th birthday celebration all those years ago.
This layout came together quite quickly. I played around with some white paint to give a slightly distressed look to the blue background paper. The pink and white paper on the side came from the Let’s Stay Home collection from Pinkfresh. The sweet dies are from the Dainty Blossoms also from Pinkfresh - my go to for all things floral.

Christmas decorating layout

This scrapbook layout was a bit of a challenge. I felt like it should have a Christmas feel to it but traditional Christmas colors didn’t seem to work because of the colors in the picture. So instead I settled for using the Pinkfresh Christmas florals - going with mostly the greenery to use around the photo. I also chose to use the small poinsettia in the orange in the corner. Definitely different to what I originally had set out to create but now that it is finished I have to say I think it turned out ok.

I used the sketch from the monthly challenge from the Pinkfresh Facebook fan page to also help guide my creating.

Pink Fresh Card

I have a simple card that I created using primarily Pinkfresh Studio items following a design sketch from their Facebook fan page and colors from their Monthly challenge.
The floral die is from the Dainty Blossoms dies, the background heart paper is from their Let’s Stay Home Collection, and the Just Because stamp comes from one of my favourite stamp sets.

Another Pink Fresh Christmas Card

I just love challenges to get me in the crafty card making mood. I need to get my Christmas cards ready because of course before we know it Christmas will be upon us! So I figured that I would put my Pink Fresh Christmas florals to work and make some beautiful watercolour florals. Pink Fresh watercolours are so amazing and vibrant. I popped up he floral on foam tape because of course “dimension is life”!

Pink Fresh Christmas Card

I really need to continue to grow my Christmas card stash. So here is the first of hopefully many Pink Fresh Christmas cards.
Look at these beautiful Pink Fresh Poinsettia floral clusters. I stamped and gold embossed both the floral and the sentiment. A great floral to watercolour. I used the red and green watercolours to colour it. Of course I had to pop it up with foam tape - because of course “dimension is life”.

Pink Fresh Simple Floral Card

Ok, I have found a simple design that I can make in many different colours that will create a beautiful set of cards. I am going to be making them in a rainbow of colours using various Thank you stamps. I have never before liked a clean and simple design like I do this one. The Dainty Blossoms dies are just perfect for making these clean and simple cards.

Pink Fresh Watercolour Card

Pink Fresh watercolours are the absolute best liquid watercolours. They are so beautifully vibrant and you can mix them in so many ways. I honestly think that I far prefer watercolours to markers. But that being said I am still learning and very rich a newbie when it comes to watercolouring.
Today has been a fun day in my craft area. I had a chance to make many cards for all of the 12 Pink Fresh World Card Making Day challenges.

This card just kind of created itself. The floral Pink Fresh stamp was stamped in the versa mark ink and then heat embossed in silver. I used the greens, blues, pinks, and purples of the watercolours.

Pink Fresh Rainbow Blossoms

I had the chance to play again and make a simple slimline card. I used the Dainty Blossoms die to create the lovey rainbow of florals.
The background is just a simple wash of the Pink Fresh Watercolour in sky blue.

Pink Fresh Clean and Simple Monochromatic

Another fun card to make. I absolutely love those Dainty Blossoms dies. They are so beautiful and they cut like a hot knife through butter. I think that the deep purple looks so striking against the white background.

Pink Fresh Smile shaker card

This is a cute little shaker card that I created for the Pink Fresh challenge. I used my amazing watercolours to colour the background in an ombré of aquamarine. I also used the same colour to tint the edges all around the mounting for the card. The beautiful floral on the bottom is from the Just Because stamp set that I heat embossed with silver.

Shaker cards are so much fun with all the lovely little beads and sequins in it to shake.

PInk Fresh Studio challenge card

Today I am playing in my craft room to create more cards. For inspiration I am using the various challenges from the Pink Fresh Studio World Card Making Day. This card came together relatively quickly. I looked down on my craft desk and saw this lovely floral digital die that I had cut out but not used on other projects and when I set it down on this striped paper from the Let’s Stay Home Paper pad I knew I had the base that I would create.

I decided to use the stamp Thinking of You in a nice white ink to be able to use it for a sympathy card.

I also then used my wink of Stella to add some lovely but subtle sparkle and shine to the floral.

Slimline Pink Fresh Card

Here is a slimline card that I created for the following Pink Fresh Challenge:

I don’t often do slimline cards but with World Card Making Day I figured that I would give it a go! And I am very glad that I did.
I used a Pink Fresh Studio free digital die and then added some die cut elements from the Dainty Blossoms dies. I also backed both the floral die and the card with some of that lovely blue patterned paper from the Lets Stay Home collection. That collection is definitely a current favourite of mine.
A fun card to create.  I also like to use very generic sentiments- that way the card will easily work for a number of different occasions. The sentiment is from the Just Because floral stamp set.

Thanks for a day full of fun challenges Pink Fresh! Now what else should I create??

Pink Fresh No stamping Challenge

This is a card that I created that followed the challenge of no stamped elements in it. I created it using the paper from the Lets Stay Home paper pack as well as pieces from the coordinating ephemera pack. I added some die cuts from the Dainty Blossoms dies. I was happy with how it turned out. I then popped it up of foam to give the dimension to the card. As I always hear them say on all those wonderful Pink Fresh video tutorials “Dimension is life”.

What a great challenge for World Card Making Day. I can’t wait to create more lovely cards.

Rainbow Smile Card

This is a fun little card that I created to enter into the Pink Fresh monthly challenge for September. The theme is rainbow so I created a simple background using rainbow foil that would showcase that amazing smile die. I think that the smile die is my favourite word die from Pink Fresh! I use it so much in both my scrapbook layouts and cards.

Rainbow Love Scrapbook Layout

This is an 8x8 layout that I made to add to my daughters Great Grandmother memory album. In order to keep me on task to finish my kids albums (before they are 50) I am choosing to create pages for each of the kids following a Pink Fresh Challenge.
This week I created this layout page following the theme rainbow in the September Pink Fresh Studio Stamps monthly challenge. I used the free digital cut file to create the title for the page. I also used the amazing dainty blossoms dies to cut those gorgeous florals. I can’t believe what great cuts those dies made. I love dies that cut out super delicate items with ease!

Pink Fresh Floral card

This card came together right away, however I refused to stick it all down thinking that it wasn’t quite right. But I finally felt ok with it and stuck it down exactly how I had planned it all along. How crazy is that?!
I used the Pink Fresh inks for the first time (I treated myself while at a local scrapbooking store). What amazing inks these are! The background heart paper came from my Let’s Stay Home paper pad and that sentiment strip came from the ephemera pack.
I know exactly who I will be sending this card too.

Pink Fresh Rainbow floral layout

I had a chance to play in my craft area tonight and this was the layout I came up with.
I just had to document one of our many trips to the nursing home to see our 105 year old grandmother who (pre Covid) we use to visit 2-3 times a week minimum. Now we are unable to visit until we are no longer a “community of concern”. One of the many amazing nurses snapped this photo from inside while we were visiting and sent it to me. Technology has definitely been a saving grace for us during this tough time. Lots of phone chats through the window.
I used the collection Let’s Stay Home which I just recently was able to pick up from my local scrapbook store. I really enjoy this collection. I also cut some flowers from some of the papers as well. And for the first time ever I bought the ephemera packet that goes with this set. I have never bought those before - but after seeing everyone using them I decided to get it to give it a try. I am quite happy with how it all came together.
My background is created using those gorgeous Pink Fresh Studio watercolours.

Pink Fresh Floral card 1

Today I am sharing a card that I created for the Pink Fresh August monthly challenge. Following the prompt of florals this was a card that I created using a free cut file found on the Pink Fresh Studio Fan Page on Facebook. Of course I enjoyed using those amazing Pink Fresh Studio Water colors to color the beautiful cut file.

MFT Summer School Day 4: Ombré

Day 4’s homework assignment was all about ombré (which I love). I used the lovely sea foam type color and made this card super simple using just 1 strip of ribbon in the darkest shade and then the 3 sentiments using the MFT happy die.  I do have to say that whenever I get a freebie from MFT I find that it is an absolute treasure! The happy die was a free add on when I spent a certain amount and It is easily one of my go to sentiment dies! Love love love this die!

I also really like this gorgeous ribbon. It is so sparkly and glittery- I think it needs a close up.

So there you have it! I know that I did not post these homework assignments in the proper order but I did it and greatly enjoyed my week of homework to be able to say:

This card will be entered in the following challenge:

MFT Summer School Day 2: Rainbow

I decided to do something a bit different for this days homework assignment. I used the MFT floral die Fresh Cut Flowers to cut a bunch of the flowers (no stems) from the 7 rainbow colors ROYGBIV and then placed them on my card. I then cut some leaves to help balance things out and finish off the card. My son pointed out to me that there is no black in a rainbow. Sadly I do have to agree with him that in the photo the Indigo coloured flower does appear to look black - but honestly in person it looks much better.

I will be entering this the the following as my homework for day 2.
