Hello Watercolouring

Today I was able to play in my craft area with my new found fun of watercolours. I am just starting out on this new medium of colouring, but so far I am really enjoying all that I can do with watercolours. I currently only have 3 colours from Pink Fresh Studio Stamps and can’t wait to be able to purchase some more colours. What’s great with watercolours is that those 3 liquid colours actually gives a lovely pallet of varying colours when mixed or diluted. Pure joy and me time!

This is the card that I created.

I love that teal / turquoise!

I will be entering this card in the current Hero Arts challenge. The challenge is all about Self Care. I think that this card and the joy that I brought to me during its creation definitely fit the bill.  So much fun!

Until next time!

Sewing fun

I created this cute sewing birthday with the Lawn Fawn challenge sketch layout in mind.  I used the heart die cuts from the flipping awesome die set and then just let the creative juices flow. This was the end result.

I will be entering this is the following challenges:

Quilt Card

Today I created a card for the Lawn Fawn challenge. This time it is a sketch challenge. I started by using some of the dies from the flipping awesome die set.  As soon as I saw the heart and the square my mind immediately went to a quilters block. I grabbed some of my Favorite plaid Lawn Fawn paper to be the insides of those cute hearts. As I was finishing I decided that I just had to include one simple stamped image.  To match up with my quilt theme I went straight to my Lawn Fawn sewing set to find that cute little spool of thread. Now, what will I create with those cute little die cut hearts that are left over from this project? Only time will tell.

Floral Framed Card

This is a floral framed card that I created for the Pink Fresh Studio Stamps March challenge. I have been playing around a lot lately with their amazing watercolours. These watercolours are amazing.  You can get such gorgeous deep colors or light and airy colors. Simply gorgeous.

For my first card I played with creating a frame from the floral stamp and then placed the smile sentiment in the middle of it.

I really love watercolours I have decided. I can’t wait to order a few more of them from Pink Fresh Studios. I think Purple May be the next color on my wish list.

My next card I created I used the red water color and used paper to frame the beautiful floral stamped image.

I am very happy with how both of these cards turned out. I will be entering them into the following challenge.

Smile Scrap Layout!

I had a chance to play with some of my Pink Fresh Studio Stamps to create this 8x8 layout. I had so much fun playing with their watercolours to color the beautiful floral stamp. Then I used the smile die to add the sweet sentiment. I love how I was able to coordinate the colors so well.

Here are a few close ups of the elements.

I love to frame photos with flowers. They are so gorgeous.

I will be entering this into the following challenges.

Jumping For Joy Cloudy Backgrounds

I couldn’t stop at just one card where I created my own background. When I pull my stamps out to blend up some backgrounds I tend to create a few. Make lots and clean up only once from the creativity I right? Anyway - I once again made a cloudy background and used those cute little stingrays jumping high in the clouds. I think it turned out good.

Little Ray of Sunshine

Don’t you just love to play with inks and create a lovely background? That’s what the challenge at Your Next Stamp is all about. Create your Own Background. It was lots of fun using the distress inks to bend with using the lovely clouds stencil. The frame is a wave frame - cricut cut. I used some of my Heffy Doodle stamps to create those cute little stingrays.
