MFT Summer School Day 5: White Space

I will be sharing with you my card for Day 5 of the My Favorite Things summer school.

White space cards are not my typical card makes and so this was an enjoyable one to create.

This was a very simple make for a quick card - easy to mass produce.

I am entering each and every day of the summer school fun. I will be entering this in the following challenge:

MFT Summer School Day 3: Symmetry

I am participating in the My Favorite Things Week of Summer School. I was looking forward to this after taking part in the camping version of it last year. I will be linking up items for all 5 days of school however likely not it the correct order - I will mix things up a bit.

So this post is for :

Summer School Day 3: Symmetry

This was a fun little card to make using the quilt die from MFT. I always like to have some cards on hand that have no sentiments - just a blank little note card.

Smile - leafy green

This card is a summery card with all the different shades of green leaves in the background. And the use of the yellow die cut sentiment reminds me of summer sunshine.
If I had it to do over again I probably would have used the Pink Fresh Studio crystals for a different bling look - but seeing as I was creating this from my stash at the lake I used what I had on hand.

I like the look of the vellum on top - it softens it just a bit.

You Make Me Happy Layout

Today I created a layout page. I was following the Pink Fresh Studio July monthly challenge when creating this layout and I am really happy with how it all turned out. I used some of the floral stamps from the Spring Floral Stamp set, the Pink Fresh Liquid Watercolours, and the sentiment came from the Just Because Stamp set.

What a fun project this turned out to be. Watercolouring is such fun.

Summer is Flowers

Summer means beautiful flowers. And what better company to capture that than Pink Fresh Studio. Their floral stamps are so gorgeous and versatile.
Here is the card that I created using those amazing Pink Fresh liquid watercolours! Those water colours are so amazing and fun to use.

I will be entering this card in their monthly challenge.

A garden of flowers

I have to be honest - when I saw the title to the current Challenge at Your Next Stamp I loved it but had to replace a word.
The title of the current challenge is “How does your garden grow?”  - well if I am being honest in my flower garden only the heartiest of all the flowers survive. Sadly I did not get the green thumb that my grandmother had. So instead I think of this challenge as “ How does Grandma’s Garden grow”. And that answer is easy - it was the most beautiful I had ever seen! From peonies to morning glories, iris to lilies her garden had it all.
And with that I created some fun floral cards for this great challenge. Unfortunately I do not yet have any stamps from this great company - but trust me I do have my eye on some very cute sets.

I had fun doing some very simple water colouring for this card.

You’re Tweet

This is a sweet little card featuring a sweet little bird from the Newton’s Nook freebie digital stamps. I made a simple sun ray background and then laid down 2 color strips on the side and cut out the stamp image in a circle shape.
