Poinsettia Layout in Blues

Here is my first Pinkfresh Studio inspired layout for the year. This is a layout using a picture from 6 years ago.
I used Pinkfresh papers from the Oh What Fun collection as well as stencil and inked poinsettias in a coordinating blue and red as well as the beautiful curvy leaves die cut out of silver paper.

All of the pieces are placed on an ink smooched mixed media background.

I always have so much fun doing the ink stencils. But I have to say what an amazing game changer it was for me to use the hammer mill 100lb paper this first time to make these poinsettias! I had been searching for this smooth white paper after hearing Leah and Heather talk about it in their Pinkfresh live videos and boy were they right! Amazing quality and what a difference it makes to ink blending.  Just look how it matches the paper - shocking!!

I will be entering this in the following Pinkfresh challenge. The January challenge is all about revisiting the past 12 challenges. So mine follows the December challenge which was all about the Christmas Season.

Peace and Joy Gold and Green Card

Every year I say that I will make Christmas cards all through the year so that I have a stack of them ready come next Christmas. Oh, and every year it doesn’t happen - lol. So here is my first Christmas card made in January.

This is a Pinkfresh card using the diagonal background die, the gorgeous poinsettia stencil, the curvy leaves die, and the beautiful holiday sentiments which I stamped, heat embossed, and cut with the coordinating die.

I absolutely love ink stenciling the many amazing florals from Pinkfresh Studio! So much fun!! I can’t wait for my butterfly stencils to arrive. I know I will be using them lots very soon.

I will be entering this card in the Pinkfresh Studio Challenge for January. January’s challenge is a throw back to the year that just past and so I followed the December challenge that was everything Christmas.
